Hotel Parque Central Havana - Getting there

Hotel Parque Central is one of Havana's finest hotels featuring an unbeatable location right across from the Capitolio and Havana's Gran Teatro and a two minute walk from Calle Obispo, which leads you down into colonial Habana Vieja.

Most visitors to Hotel Parque Central arrive by international flight to Havana's Jose Marti International Airport. In case you arrive at the International airports of Holguin or Santiago de Cuba, consider a time saving domestic flight to Cuba's mesmerizing capital.

From Havana airport, a taxi or convenient hotel transfer* can take you to your hotel. In case you plan to move around town a lot or have plans to explore other parts of Cuba, renting a car is without a doubt "the way to go". Having a car at your disposal comes with an enormous amount of flexibility. For example, a visit to the Valley of Viñales - a UNESCO world Heritage site renowned for its outstanding natural beauty - makes for an exiting (day) trip and adds an extra dimension to any travel itinerary. An affordable way to explore the capital is to take the open top sightseeing bus that stops near your hotel. This "hop on hop off" bus drives you in about 2 hrs to many important and interesting parts of the city.

From Hotel Parque Central you can walk to all of Old Havana's major tourist sites. Along the way you pass by many inviting restaurant, bars and terraces. An increasing number of private restaurants or "paladars" are opening up around town, greatly expanding on the variety of international dishes available. Although some of the best paladars are located in the Vedado and Miramar districts, we feel they are definitely worth the 10 – 20 minute taxi ride.

Havana is often referred to as the cultural capital of the Caribbean. Year round many events take place, like the Havana International Book Fair, the Habano Cuban Cigar Festival, the Havana Jazz Festival or the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema. Ballet and theater performances are a plenty while (salsa) music comes your way from virtually every Havana street corner. There are plenty of venues - like the casa de la Musica in Miramar- where you can exchange your latest dance moves with the locals. Havana is also home to a lot of interesting museums. Some of the smaller museums like Museo de Artes Decorativas and Museo Napoleónico are hidden gems that are often overlooked.

In case you are looking for an organized way to explore Havana and beyond, an excursion may be a great option. You can choose from a wide variety of themes such as architecture, nightlife, cultural and overnight excursions as well as nature tours.

*You can book a convenient collective or private transfer during the reservation process.
